A Year of Change for the Lancashire Healthy Schools Programme

|

The Lancashire Healthy Schools Team has been working to improve the Lancashire Programme by updating the Quality Standards, integrating the model with the new national Healthy Schools Enhancement Model and linking together the related issues currently impacting on school improvement.

During 2009 – 2010, the Programme will be in a period of transition. It will continue to support the last remaining schools to achieve National Healthy School Status and it will be the last year to use the original Lancashire model of accreditation and Quality Standards with Easter 2010 being the final submission date.

The main focus for the Programme will be the transition to the new national model as it is finalised and aligned with other forthcoming national developments, including the new Ofsted framework, 21st Century Schools and the introduction of the Children and Young People Wellbeing Indicators.
